"..what appears to be some sort of growth on these two buildings. It's hard to tell in this light.. wait! Whatever it is, it appears to be moving. It could just be the wind but, no! Right now where I'm standing there is no wind at all and even a little breeze wouldn't cause this much movement. It's definitely moving by itself."

Photograph taken from the local newspaper and the transcript taken from the corresponding live news feed documenting the first sighting of what was to become known as The Arrival. This and related events occurred after the full stellar transformation of the sun.

Too dark and you wouldn't be able to tell what's going on. Too light and you'd notice that the 'tentacles' are drawn on. Dilemmas.
